What We Believe
A site that tests other people’s teaching owes you transparency about its own. Here is where this one stands. Nothing below is offered as a replacement for Scripture; it is a summary of what we understand Scripture to teach.
Statement of faith
Replace this section with your full confession. A common approach is to affirm an existing confession by reference and then note any points of emphasis. For a Reformed Baptist position, that is often the 1689 Second London Baptist Confession; for a broader Southern Baptist position, the Baptist Faith and Message.
We affirm:
- Scripture as the inspired, inerrant, and sufficient Word of God, the final authority for faith and practice.
- The Trinity: one God eternally existing in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
- The gospel: salvation by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone, to the glory of God alone, as revealed in Scripture alone.
Expand this list to match your convictions before launch. Be specific enough that a reader knows the lens, brief enough that it stays readable.
How we evaluate teaching
We test a teaching against Scripture read in context. We critique public teaching using a teacher’s own documented public words, not rumor and not guesses about motive. We aim to be accurate before we are sharp, and we correct our own mistakes in the open.
